Finance Ministry

WE ARE CALLED to be good stewards of our time, talent, facilities, and money.

WE ARE RESPONDING TO OUR CALL THROUGH tending to the needs of all our ministries by providing active leadership and guidance in the areas of raising, handling and accounting for the funds.

WITH HOPE AND EXCITEMENT, OUR VISION IS to ensure St James remains a model of good stewardship.

Our Finance Ministry team’s primary mission is to maintain and effective financial system that will enable St James to establish other needed ministries.  The Finance Ministry team will

1. Gather, manage and protect God's resources which have been allocated to St James
   

   1. 50% of annual budget will be pledged in the appeal.
      

   2. The debt ratio will not to exceed 15%.
      

   3. The Good Steward Reserve funds will grow by 25.
      

   4. The church will have a clean internal financial audit.
      

2. Help members experience spiritual growth through tithing or giving to God's work
   

   1. A Meet and Greet will be hosted at least twice a year.
      

   2. A joint meeting with Stewardship Ministry team will be held.
      

   3. Our full share of benevolence will be paid to support the work of the whole church.

   4. A monthly article in the Messenger will be written.
      

3. Identify and develop financial talent in our church who will help strengthen our church financially.

   1. Job descriptions will be written for the chair and treasurer.
      

   2. Policies and procedures will be written.
