Team
Mission:
The
Mutual Ministry Team is the communication link between our
pastor and other staff and the congregation. The team works to
encourage the congregation to partner with the pastor and staff
in the mutual ministry of St. James Lutheran Church.
Team
Purpose:
-
Be a support for and
an honest, confidential voice to the pastor

LISTEN to the
congregation and the pastor
-
Meet six times per
year, with additional meetings called as necessary
-
Mutual Ministry
Evaluation: The team prepares an annual report to the
Council and congregation on the state of the congregation's
mutual ministry
-
Annually recommend
compensation adjustments for the pastor and staff
-
Approve the sabbatical
plan for the pastor
-
Make recommendations
to other ministry teams for programming that would enhance
our mutual ministry at St. James
-
As long as there is no
Personnel team, one member of the Mutual Ministry Team
(currently Dave Phillips) will be a contact person for any
concern of other church staff
