Small
groups are characterized by clear purpose and design.
They exist and operate under the direction of the Holy
Spirit, utilizing biblical values and standards.
The general purpose for the existence of the group is
openly acknowledged and approved by the leader and members alike.
Each member must accept the responsibility for the
groups’ success.
What
do small groups do?
Small
groups are a living expression of what the body of Christ is
supposed to be doing on the earth.
God uses small groups to deliver support, answers, wisdom,
encouragement, correction, modeling, strength, and comfort.
A small group is Jesus’ body… his serving hands,
empathizing heart, listening ears, and encouraging words.
Why
should I become a part of a small group?
Small
groups give meaning to the difference between church attendance
and being a part of the church family.
In a small group, people get from others things that they
are unable to give or get for themselves.
Small groups are an opportunity for in- depth fellowship
and friendships.
