What is Stewardship?
• Stewardship is responding with care and love to the abundance
that God has given us.
• Stewardship is a total way of life. It is much more than just
giving our financial gifts to St. James to support its
ministries. We also share our time and our God given talents to
the glory of God and to the ministries of St. James.
• Scripture says “We love because God first loved us.” We
respond and share our gifts out of love, and out of commitment
to the Great Commission.Meeting Time/Place – The first
Monday of each month at 5 PM at the church office.

What Does the Stewardship Ministry Team
Do?
• We model a stewardship lifestyle and encourage everyone to do
likewise.
• We educate the members of St. James about sharing in the joy,
care, and sharing of the abundance that God has blessed us with
through temple talks, articles in the Messenger, and so on.
• We encourage the members of St. James to adopt the philosophy
of Asset Based Stewardship. That is looking at what we can do
with the time, talents and resources that we have rather than
limit ourselves due to lack of funds, time or talent. |
Members of the Stewardship Ministry Team:
• Demonstrate good examples of Christian Stewardship as a way of
life.
• Promote stewardship continually through generous commitments
of their money, time, and abilities, and clear witness of their
faith with others.
• Are interested in their personal and spiritual growth and the
growth of others.
