Each Sunday ushers serve to
welcome worshippers, give them bulletins, show them where to
find water,
restrooms, and the nursery. They assist worshippers to find
places to sit and answer any questions that might be raised.
They serve in a very important ministry of hospitality.
We use two
ushers at each service. Gender or age is not a limited factor as this ministry is
open to anyone willing to learn how to serve. We have family
members serving together on occasion. Training is provided and
usually an experienced usher is paired with a new usher to
acquaint them with the duties.
We also use ushers at special
services such as funerals, Lenten services, and other special
services.
